We are Never Alone

Harmony cannot be achieved by a mere force but it can only be achieved through the connection of each and every individual in the society with extension of love, affection and responsibility to everyone. This, I believe have impacted me on my views now about life.
I used to be apathetic sometimes, I tend to close my eyes to the realities and ignorance of this world because I believe that at a young age, even though I open my eyes to these kind of injustices, I still can’t do nothing but after our exposure in Hospicio de San Jose with the elderly women, I’ve realized great things that I can do. I am able to let them feel that they are still significant in this society and that they are still cared and loved for. Even though there are no blood connections between us, our faith connects each of us to work in unity under the greatness of Our Creator. I have learned to prolong my patience and understanding when they are having tantrums which are really usual to them. The most memorable learnings I have gained with them are the stories and experiences which they shared from us that gave us the true meaning of what life is. They have imparted that things are temporary and that even our loved ones will leave us without any reason at all but only one will never leave us through the dark or bright days of our lives and will always be with us, always, He is our God, the Father.
Life is never easy. Unfortunate things will happen to us surprisingly, but behind this mishaps, is a great chance for us to be closer to Him, to learn his ways and plans for us and to live with His greatness as our Father, Creator, Best friend, Shelter and Provider.
After this immersion, after weeks or months without seeing us, they may forget us, our names, voices and even our times together, but I will never forget them, they have become part of my life, a great inspiration and an influential mentor to me. I may not experience having a lola as I grow up, but with them, in my heart I have lolas who taught me many things about life and only strength and faith in God can help me go through it.
